Thus say I unto thee in as far as the claims of certain people that Britain cannot do without the E.U. Both financially and militarily is of course nonsense as Britain has for nearly a thousand years stood on its own. These claims and the claims of the E.U. is scare mongering as the E.U. and various people in power and in the financial institutions are really frightened Britain will leave the E.U. Britain doesn't need the E.U. the E.U. needs Britain. Britain has the common wealth and other countries to trade with and in fact whether in or out the E.U. needs to trade with Britain for financial, manufacturing, agricultural, services and other commodities and it is also frightened that if Britain leaves so will the other commonwealth trading Nations. Also the British Military when at full strength is one of the best in the World if not thee best especially the Scottish regiments which two World wars and Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria along with other theatres of conflict has proven. Also if the S.N.P has a referendum to leave Britain and seeks to join the E.U. it should then change its party name to S.N.E.U.P.
The E.U. being frightened Britain will leave the E.U. caused it to give into the British negotiations for reform but Britain didn't stand its ground making concessions it shouldn't have if it had stood its ground a better deal would have been forth coming.
A stronger leader would have got a better deal but as afore said the E.U. is no longer a true democratic institution and needs to change before it falls apart at the seams.
