The present leader of the E.U. by his statement and attitude is saying that if Britain does not listen to the other E.U. members taking into consideration their concerns, views and arguments instead of its own and takes a hard line position on its desire for reform that there will be no agreement on the table and from that outcome Britain will inevitably vote to leave. But also he is saying that Britain will have to conform to the structure of the E.U. treaty if it wants to stay in the E.U. that there will be no alteration and no concessions for Britain in other words the E.U. doesn't want reform and will not reform in any way its present position on boarder protection, nor upon the matter of welfare benefits and payments, employment conditions and the movement of migrants within the E.U. In other words the negotiations for the reforms Britain wants will not materialise in any way shape or form and he is threatening Britain if it votes to leave it will never get back into the E.U. Even to the extent of the same standing other countries have outside the E.U. trading wise. Though these are empty threats that the E.U. cannot afford to put into practice even if it wanted to, as it has too many trading, financial and military agreements with Britain.
But also what is the real problem is if Britain does not get what it is asking for from the E.U. and votes to leave it is worried that not only will Britain leave but others also will leave for others also are just waiting to see whether Britain is strong enough and determined enough to get the reforms that they as well as Britain wants to see happen. If Britain does they will stay along with Britain if not and Britain leaves so will they.
