Plus the fact that liquid of any sort will drain through shale no matter the consistency of the liquid pumped in, fast as with water slower with other substances. Therefore if the shale sinks into the liquid pumped in and eventually the liquid pumped in drains off then the earth above will sink as well, or if the area has a large shale deposit it will drift the earth above it, it will act like someone walking on a shale slope what happens when the shale is dislodged it drifts or avalanches down the slope. The shale deposit will shift to fill the space created by fracking after it has been shattered and sinks and the liquid drains off moving the earth just above it till it finds a weak spot in the ground above causing it to collapse.
